The city of Camden is planning to unveil the Beacon Building, a 25-story, 500,000 square-foot office tower. This building will be located next to the Walter Rand Transportation Center. Gilbane will be the master developer for the project, which is set to become the tallest building in South Jersey. The Beacon Building aims to provide space for both public and private entities, boosting Camden’s Eds and Meds corridor and accommodating government agencies.
The Beacon Building will feature parking, a public square, retail spaces, and amenities such as a fitness center. Camden officials envision it as a symbol of the city’s resurgence, designed to attract workers back to the office. Officials emphasize the project’s long-term impact on Camden’s economic development and its potential to reshape the city’s landscape, complementing other developments in the area.
